Robert Fife; Turning CTV Into The National Enquirer

Robert Fife June 2nd, 2009: "Insider report from CTV's Robert Fife indicates the federal Liberals are searching for a Ontario riding for the possible return of 'Rock Star' Belinda Stronach... developing"

Robert Fife June 3rd, 2009: "UPDATE: Well placed sources inform National Newswatch that Strronach is not considering a 'Rock Star' return to politics."

And CTV wonders why it's in trouble. I think we all now know why Robert Fife has been dying his hair over and over, trying too get just that right color. It appears Fife has developed a man-crush on Perez Hilton.

Just a few short weeks ago - Fife reported that Ben Mulroney was approached to run for the liberals and he didn't turn them down. He was looking at it quite seriously - means the Tories were so mean to his father and he was such great friends with Trudeau. He wanted so badly last night to throw around Stronach's name on Tom Clarke - he said how Stronach had met with Ignatieff - not mentioning that he also met with Finance Minister Flaherty - he wanted it to sound like "important people" only meet with his important liberal leader.... and then he went on to say - "sources" say the PM is meeting with the Premier of Quebec for dinner - I guess they are going to kiss and make up" - he can't say one thing about the PM unless it is cutting and in a liberal flavour. I also noticed on TV - it was Robert Fife who gave the papers back. I would like to guess who got a copy of them, and directions were given when the information could be leaked. How come Robert decided to copy "secret" documents - and how come Robert decided to hold on to them for 1 week - release them when liberal Don Drummond released his juicy liberal numbers... guess Iggy is getting afraid this economy is turning around and with his media friends, he must try his only wish left - try with all his might to be a foreign PM.....

Ahem..It's an insult to the National Enquirer to compare them to CTV. After all it was the N.E. that broke the Edwards infidelity scandal back in the primaries when no other msm organization would - you know protecting their own...

A closer approximation would be comparing CTV to say the Star or the Globean d'mail - or perhaps just garden variety single cell amoeba.

The only time Fife gets an inside source is when he picks his nose.

Senator Robert Fife.
That has a nice ring to it, no?
I guess he figure he's next in line once the liberals get back in.
The poor deluded fool.

In the Canadian Forces it is automatic that an inquiry must be called to look into the circumstances of lost classified documents. It is appalling that soldiers face an inquiry and cabinet ministers walk. DISGUSTING.

The image of Bob (Barney) Fife that's etched in my mind is from one of those year end interviews he did with Harper and Lloyd.

Fife looked like a 10 year old who had just been moved up from the kid's card table to the big boy table at Thanksgiving.

When he asked a question about Harper's wife Laureen, he got all giggly, cheeks all red and stammering. He looked like a complete nerd.

Guess this is his revenge of the nerds
